I graduated from Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) with a BS in zoology. Since there aren't any jobs available for that, I decided to work with another type of animal....kids. I started out as a 7th-12th grade science teacher in a VERY small town (Tivoli, TX) then narrowed my assignment to 8th grade science in Palacios, TX. I will soon sign another contract to teach 5th grade science in Port Lavaca, TX. Don't know if I will always teach, but it is pretty good right now. I have two beautiful children. Ashley was born 2 1/2 months premature, but she is doing wonderful and will be starting preschool in a couple of weeks. Jason was a relatively normal birth (except for the darned gestational diabetes). He is 2 and gets into absolutely everything. My wonderful husband of 7 years, Joel, is a biologist with the Texas Parks & Wildlife.
