We have to remember back to the last day of Jr. High when there was an exchange of oranges being thrown in the auditorium. I owe so much thanks to so many friends for not letting me say anything, Thanks Pete Scandizio, you prevented me from repeating that year in that school.
I married Wanda Wiggs before we graduated and went to work at the Coca Cola Bottling Company in Miami where I was the Night packing manager. I had a crew of 15 people most who were older than myself. I worked there until I received an invitation to begin a career in the Utility Industry.
I went to work for Orlando Utilities as a Groundsman. I started my career at $2.85 per hour, as time flew by I spent 27 years there and retired in 1999 as the Supervisor of Reliability, for one of the companies Orlando Utilities had taken over, St. Cloud Utilities. When I retired from there we moved to Brass Town North Carolina, where we met a number of people including one who graduated a year after we did, Pat Margo who listed and sold my property there and during our relationship discovered our past. Pat is the guy to see about Real Estate, in North Georgia and North Carolina. After we sold our home in Brass Town, we moved to North West Florida to be near our only two grand daughters. We now live in Navarre Florida, where the fishing is great except in Winter. I began a new career in my later years, one that was rewarding in more ways than you would know. I started off as a Realtor to fill in the winter months and decide to get my Brokers license and started a new company. Wanda and I are very happy and doing okay. She has been my inspiration and we have had many years of ups and downs. Our faith is strong and will carry us along into the new era. We have been blessed in many ways but our new blessing is this new way to reflect on our youth, This web-site is an avenue for making new friends of old ones and thank you for that.
