10 Year Reunion

August 4, 2010 Meeting 2

 

 

Class of 2002 meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by Valencia Gunder. Minutes from meeting 1 held July 7, 2010 was read by Takara White.

Valencia advised all who was present that she spoke with Ms. Lagrant, activities director in reference to getting a master class list.

Miami Central Alumni Association: Class of 2002 will be joining the association. Each year a class donates a lab top to a graduating senior. Class of 2002 has decided to start donating 2012 and every other year after, i.e. 2012, 2014, 2016

Fundraiser: September 2010

·         World Famous Chocolate

·         Krispy Crème Donuts

·         Raffle Tickets - $2.00 tickets for a Publix Gift Card

 

Raffle Tickets fundraiser will start September and end in October with the drawing being held at the meeting. Each member will receive 10 or more tickets.

June 14-17, 2012

Thursday: Meet and Greet

·         Splits Ville Bowling

·         Dave and Boosters

Friday: Yacht Party

·         Ranging at $25,000.00, with $100.00 per person

 

Saturday: Family Fun Field Day

·         CB Smith

·         TY Park

·         Greynolds Park – Will look into for picnic

·         Amelia Earhart Park

Set-up will begin at 8am and picnic at 12 noon

 

Sunday: Church Service

·         New Shiloh Baptist Church

·         New Jerusalem P. B. Church

Whichever church is decided, the church will receive a donation from class of 2002. Restaurant for after church is going to be Home Style Buffet in Hallandale Beach, FL.

 

Future Notes:

Dues are going to be $40.00 for the 1^st year 2010 per person. Dues will be used towards events and any purchases need prior to the reunion.

Asking all members present to bring in old pictures at next meeting

 

A total of 12 members were present, meeting was closed at 8:15 until the first Wednesday in September.

JULY 7TH, 2010

**Meeting was called to order at 7p.m. There were 10 classmates present. We have decided to use Florida Memorial University as our meeting location due to the fact that we can use this venue for FREE. We have also decided that we are going to vote at every meeting on the things we discuss and then it will be made final!
