I lived in San Francisco almost 30 years, also in Oregon and Germany (Karlsruhe) and moved to Petaluma, CA in 1998. I've been self-employed for 40 years as a book and web designer (www.wordrunner.com). My chief preoccupation is writing fiction (almost 3 dozen short stories in literary journals as of 2021 and one book published; see www.joannerosen.us). I've published a lit journal online (www.echapbook.com) since 2010. For 14 years I cared for and lived with my mother; sadly she departed her life in 2015. And now I live in a trailer parked at the Petaluma Moose lodge, walking distance from hilltop hikes and the old downtown.
