Went to Sophie Newcomb College in New Orleans; spent junior year abroad in England at University of Nottingham and discovered Europe. Married 1965. Taught in Dade County schools until 1978 when I went to UM law school. Married Eric Lamet in 1981.
Hurricane Andrew demolished our home so we lived in rv for a year and then tried camping for several years. In 1998, we discovered the Berkshires in western Massachusetts. Summered there for 15 years while still having south Florida home. Eric or Enrico grew up in Italy so we have spent much time there and around the world. In 2013 we moved to Pittsfield MA permanently where I have learned to live in snow and the difference between annual and perennial plants.
It is hard to describe my school story. While I have many wonderful memories about friends and my education, I still have some sour memories as a result of what I see as prejudice during my student years.
