Art was my best friend and baseball game buddy. We were together right before he passed. I gave you a single yellow rose before they closed your coffin. I listened to them play sweet Melissa (in memory of your daughter) and hoped she was there. I loved you Rainwater and miss you so!

Art was such a kind and friendly person. We spent time together especially in junior high/early high school. I had not seen him for many years when I moved back to Midland in the 90's for awhile. It was like no time had passed, and I was so glad to reconnect with him before he passed too early. Such a great smile, and authentic personality.
