Melvin Davis

Melvin Ben Davis Muzzy 1957 ~ 2007 Muzzy was born August 26,1957 in Tuba City, Arizona to Augustine and Mary Jane Davis. Muzzy returned to his loving Heavenly Father April 15, 2007. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was the third of eight boys. From eight to twelve years of age he lived with his foster family "The Walkers" from Sugar City, Idaho. He attended Hillcrest High School in Midvale, UT and proudly served the United States of America Marine Corps. He was known for his politeness and friendliness to all, he liked drawing pictures, music, playing the guitar, joking around and making people laugh. He is preceded in death by his father, Augustine; mother, Mary Jane; and brother, Everett. Survived by his beautiful daughter, Jackie Marie Ferguson; and grandson, Ian Pharel Stoneman (whom he was very proud of); brothers, Hank, Merle, Alvin, Calvin, Ervin, and Marvin Davis; uncle, Emet "Joe" Martinez of Salt Lake City, UT; Virgil Martinez of Bylas, AZ; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. "Muzzy", you are greatly loved and you are greatly missed. Thank you for all the joy you have brought into all of our lives. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Melvin Ben "Muzzy" Davis donation fund at Wells Fargo Bank C/O Christine Boone, cousin. Internment will be Friday, April 27, 2007 at 12 noon at 17111 S Camp Williams Rd., Bluffdale, UT. Following the interment there will be a potluck luncheon for family and friends at the Indian Walk-In Center, 120 W 1300 S, Salt Lake City, UT, in memory of our beloved "Muzzy".
