Tammy Gamingasco (Bogenschut)

Tammy Bogenschutz

1958 ~ 2021

Our cherished wife, mother, and grandmother was taken from us too soon when she passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 16, 2021.

Tammy was born in Murray, Utah on July 24, 1958 to Dominic and Lucille Gamingasco. On February 10, 1978 she married the love of her life Todd Bogenschutz and soon after they welcomed their beloved children — Ryan and BrieAnna. She was also blessed with a bonus son, Tyson who she loved like her own.

Spending time with her family brought her great joy and she absolutely loved being a grandma! She enjoyed spending time in Manila and outdoors. Tammy and Todd recently celebrated their 43rd anniversary.

Her family was her pride and joy — they were her everything. She was the glue that held everyone together.

Over the years she worked many jobs and built many strong connections and lifelong friendships. Her passion to help others led her to a career in education. She loved seeing kids succeed whether learning to read or receiving their diploma. Their success brought her happiness and she would do anything for her students.

She was the most selfless, caring, and loving person ever. She always found the good in everyone.

Traditions were Tammy's favorite. She was always so creative and loved to craft, cook, and bake, which always brought the family together. We will continue to carry on her traditions as she watches over us.

We were so proud to follow her recent weight loss journey and to see her achieve her goal weight.

She was loved beyond measure and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She leaves behind her husband Todd; two children Donald Ryan (Meghan) Bogenschutz, BrieAnna (Eric) Hatch; four grandchildren Rylee and Kash Bogenschutz, Leila and Lucas Hatch; Tyson (Dennill) Tolbert; sister Nancy (Fred) Schuman; and four nieces, Margo, Nicole, Pilar, and Tiffini. She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws, sister Carolyn, and brother Michael.

A viewing will be held Friday, May 21 from 6-8 p.m. MT and Saturday, May 22 from 10 - 10:45 a.m. MT at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, UT.
