Our dear Kim, age 42, lost her seven year courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family and friends, Tuesday, April 10, 2001.
She was born August 20, 1958 to Jim and Alice Johnstun, and raised in Midvale where she attended Hillcrest High School. Married Blaine Ludwig, later divorced. Kim was a wonderful example of persistence, perseverance, tolerance and enduring to the end.
Survived by loving companion, Ed Hanson; two cats, Smokey and Squeakers; son, Josh Ludwig (Felissia); two grandsons, Austin and Hunter; Ed's two daughters, Melissa and Deanna Hanson, both Florida; parents, Jim and Alice Johnstun; two sisters, Kelly (Jay) Butterfield; Kristy (Phillip) Holmes; two brothers, Tony and Bob Johnstun; four nieces; three nephews; aunts and uncles; and by special life-long friend, Kandy Thomas. Preceded in death by grandparents, Anton and Ida Wald; and LaVell and Laura Johnstun.
Kim's family expresses their thanks to all the friends, neighbors, and employees at Kennecott for their love and support, and to Dr. Anna Beckand staff for their care.
Funeral mass Monday, April 16, 10 a.m., St. Therese Catholic Church, 642 West Lennox Street (7850 South). Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Sunday 6-8 p.m. with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Kim's family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society. May God's love now surround her with comfort and peace on her new eternal journey.
