Jim Snowden was my neighbor and friend. He lived in a 2-story, wooden house, the lot just South of where Union Elementary use to be on 7th East. Jim was tall and thin with red hair and dark eyes. Jim was a quiet young man who loved to play basketball. During the summer he usually walked home with me and my family after our mid-week meeting at the church since he lived near us; Jim always dribbling the basketball. My family and I were among the first responders the night Jim's house burned. We did what we could but I have always wished we could have done more. Love goes out to Jim and to his parents. We still think of you.
