Worked in radio for 17 years, worked for Hollywood Entertainment for 3 years, but am still on board of directors, they are in L.A. USA, and Cologne Germany, I was fortunate to be able to work out of both locations, and hope to continue after my health is restored.
We have owned a recording studio for the past 9 years, and 3 years ago bought a 1/2 acre land & blt new studio, also has a duplex which we rent the front to people we know & trust & the back duplex is the artists lounge. My husband has produced many local artists as well as major label artists and indy artists. Since my illness & going on disability in 2003, I do what I can musically at the studio,vocal coaching, managing artists, consulting artists, but most of my time is spent at the doctors, unfortunatly. But things are looking up again, so I am hoping, just hoping & praying. Our oldest son plays lead guitar in a band called "Split the Enemy", you can take a listen on their my space page! They're getting ready to get signed to a label, so that's exciting. Our 10 yr old Jake, is a soccer player and singer! yeah! I was hoping one of my children would like to sing and/or be able to sing, and Jake is already singing opera, and when I'm not looking he's singing the "All American Rejects" songs, hee hee, It doesn't matter what type of music he likes, but his opera vocals are my favorite. He also has written his own songs, and is getting ready to record them this summer sometime.
As a family, we are all into cars, we have an 82 transam, original 28,000 miles, red, & corners like a corvette, but my favorite is our '74 camaro Z-28, almost all original, restored beautiful, & very loud & fast! Yee Ha! But times have changed, our 20 year old drives a lexus, when we were 20 I don't know that too many of us would be driving a car comparable to that. Kids these days seem to think they are above the standards we were all use to. The word 'sacrifice' doesn't exist. Oh well, we love 'em anyway. We are also in Real Estate, well, 2-3 years ago we were, now, it's just we're in it, not "we're in it making money". The market here is fierce, but it will come back around. Don't get back to Nebraska as much as I'd like to, mostly due to health. And never heard anything about our 25th reunion, but hopefully we'll have another one and I'll get back to see all the people that I grew up with and have known the longest in my life, aside from family.
