Deena Duston

Since I left High School I have been busy with a number of things. I first started out at MATC and carpooled with Judy Gretzka (now an alias for her) Then I went on to bigger and better things. I recently left a job I was at for almost 9 years. I was the supervisor of audit and education of the largest Cardiology group in Wisconsin. I am currently working for over 40 medical groups throughout WI, MI, IL, and St. Louis. I do some traveling and provide education and auditing of the physicians documented work. Its a great job, how cool is it to instruct someone with a doctorate what they need to do to improve there skills??? Well . . . . . I have also done alot of consulting work and teach part time at Bryant and Stratton College . . . . so as a single mom with two kids it can sometimes be pretty busy. I have a lovely family and a group of friends I would not change for the world. I strongly belive life is very short. My Mom passed of cancer at the young age of 59 and I can only hope that I can accomplish what I want and see my kids accomplish what they are capable of before it is my turn. One day at a time for us . . . . . we are at middle age! uugghhhhh . . . I cant believe I can actually say that and it rings true!! Well . . you are all in the same boat with me! Looking forward to seeing everyone and catching up!

One fun memory was when I was in Drama Club 8th hour. Ed Bauer was in the class also. We had to go out to the woods and pick up props (ie: small trees) . . . .Ed took a tree, held it at his waist with his hands on it like a flag in a parade . . . . he starts moving it back and forth (stretching his arms out in front and pulling back into his chest) singing "We Got the Trees" again and again (Instead of We Got the Beat). The entire class was laughing as we walked back up to the auditorium . . . . yeah, Ed was funny . . . . one day he also put a label on his pants pocket that said "Ed Gein Jeans" . . . . One other memory is being in 8th hour study hall and it was announced that President Regan had been shot . . . . . a somber moment.
