Yes, I was the one who bought the pig. The idea was my dad's, I don't know what to say about that. There were many participants in this school prank. They all will have to do their own confession. I must say having a couple of friends on the school photo department or club, made the documentation a possibility. Taking that shot of the pig release at the bell, and in the middle of the uproar, was a very under-acknowledged feat of photo journalism. And the photos were developed in the school lab.
I get up to Milwaukee two or three times a year, when winter breaks.
I had no clue, I wanted to make money.......
Make a million$$$
Moving to Madison to go to UW. Meeting Kathy, my wife, in Florida. Being here or there for my three children, three graduations. Sking at Mammouth, Sailing to Key West, playing a good tennis match; diving for sharks teeth or lobster. Time spent with my mom and siblings, seeing my Wisconsin friends and sights.

Yes Bob, that observation about Hope's brightening the day and being upbeat. I think we were stationed near each other for Hall Patrol or whatever it was called. And yes after 50 some years I remember this. Strong testimony to being just really nice, somewhat underestimated at the time, but not forgotten. My condolences to family and friends.
Dan, really greatly loved, and we will always remember in the fondest terms. He became the central guy in a loosely banded group of his High School friends, known as the Parkside Boys. I have great appreciation and respect for him, enhanced over time. Even though I have not seen him in many decades. We always remember and smile when Dan's name comes up. He experienced the process of growing up a step ahead of us, maybe 2 steps ahead. He is the one who was in the center, because he was just that good. And,... he worked at the Parkside Standard Gas Station, next to Sherman Park. See you on the other side.

Yes John, Ivars was a big guy in that small pool, he was always fun to be around. When I would ask why about something, he would give a shrug and a great smile, and say I don't know. I knew, he knew. Good memories of him, and I am sad that this is the time I remember him. So he is someone who I am hoping had a great life and wish I was around for more of his journey.
