I was a reading teacher for MPS for 28 years and was glad to retire in 2012. Spent time in many schools and different grade levels from first to high school. When i was back in middle school it was time to retire.
I have been fortunate enough to do a fair amount of traveling over the years. I have been to Paris, Rome, isle of Capri, Florence, Sorrento Venice, Barcelona, Cannes, Monaco, Nice and saw the pyramids in Cairo Egypt, while cruising the Mediterranean. Other travels included Greece several time for extended stay with family, Ephesis, Turkey and numerous Greek islands. For the last three years I have spent the month of January in sunny Mexico and will hopefully do the same this January.
But my greatest joys are my daughter and grandchildren. We spend lots of time together and we have been to Disney world often; great Times. The youngest is going to all day kindergarten this fall so my special time with her several times a week will end. So sad. I don't know what I'll do with myself now.
Thank you to everyone who have sent birthday wishes over the years, I haven't been on line for years to check.
I loved hanging out with friends at lunch and before and after school talking about everything that was relevant at the time. I had great friend there and for the most part Washington was a wonderful 3 years of friends ,dances ,learning ( not every thing in the classroom though).
I'm still living in milwaukee and will probably never get out of th city, since there is no more residency requirements for working in Milwaukee , I can't sell my house.
I knew I didn't want to be a teacher, but somehow I did. I wanted to do something fun and different but had no idea what.
I always wanted to go to the orient, and do an African safari . Hopefully I'll get to do both someday soon.
There have been many; going to UW Madison, traveling, great friendships, but being a mom was best.
