Brother David, we have spent too little time together since we became adults.

I knew Ivars well as a student, we graduated together in 1969.  We were both in the Special Ability Programs, we were called SAPS.  We were one class of about 25 students that took all of our math, English, social science, and physical science together, every class from 7th through 12th grade.  In general, our SAP courses were accerated 2 years beyond the normal courses.  Ivars was an exceptional student, nice guy, and very popular with the girls.  He was one of a number of WHS students from the Baltic states.  His English was excellent, although he spoke with a bit of an accent.   Ivars, rest in peace.
