Comments:
After retiring from the ministry in Red Wing, MN (beautiful city on the Mississippi River) I loved working for a year at the front desk of the historic St. James Hotel in Red Wing. Met two awesome bartenders who made guests very welcome.
We moved to West Bend, WI and live in a small house across the road from a lake.
Lynne and I are members at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in West Bend and I'm privileged to preach and teach BCs there on a regular basis to help you the pastor.
School Story:
I still relive the high school years. They were among the best of my life.
Couldn't choose which I enjoyed more, the jocks, the choir or the marching band.
I enjoyed so many friends, not realizing that I would still recall your names and faces after 50 years.
In particular I miss my good friends, Larry Urbanek and Dave Kriehn.
Some fantastic places I hope to visit someday:
Washington D.C. and Arlington Cemetery
Some fantastic places I have been:
Hard to choose. Lynne and I took the Mississippi Queen from Memphis to New Orleans. Great boat. Great stops and a great time at the Cafe du Monde, Jackson Park and the rest of the downtown. Loved Memphis too. Music on Beale street and of course Elvis.
My other enjoyable trips have been to Tennessee to see good friends and the countryside is beautiful. Plus they make wine!
We also enjoyed the coffee and music at the Blue Moon, in Red Wing, MN
