Tom died on November 16, 2008 from lymphoma. I reconnected with Allen, Tom's best friend from college. In fact, he was our best man. We hadn't seen or spoken to each other for 15 yrs. When Tom was being hospitalized after a chemo treatment, I sent an email out to people asking them to pray for him. When I got home from the hospital, there was a call from Al wanting to find out how Tom was doing. I called him back and as we talked I found out that his wife was dying from cancer. She died 3 weeks after Tom. We continued to email, then talk and then see each other. We got married 10/24/09 and are raising Al's grandson Mac. Life has been full of changes but I have never felt alone. The Lord has continued to be with me. I am humbled and very blessed.
