Amy went to be with our Lord and her Christian Victory was celebrated on June 21, 2003 at St. Marcus Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.

Amy was born in New Ulm, Minnesota on November 5th, 1960. After Wisco, she spent two years of college at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minnesota followed by several more years the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee where she received her degree in Criminal Justice. Amy was employed in the Victim/Witness Unit at the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office until her disability in 1995.

In the early 80's, Amy contracted the HIV virus due to a blood transfusion she needed at the time to battle aplastic anemia. It progressed into AIDS in 1995. She fought a spirited battle with this horrible illness for 8 years. She was very active at her home congregation and school, St. Marcus, as well as many volunteer hours in the community.

"I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the desolate pit, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God." Psalm 40:1-3

Ran into her a couple of years after Graduation, once downtown and another few times at WLC's pool in the mid-80s (before they removed it). We weren't that close, but I was on good terms with her. She was very kind to me.
