I have remained in the Milwaukee area my entire life working in the field of retail management. I have recently left management to accept a position in the manufacturing industry. I look at this move as the beginning of my retirement. I am enjoying the freedom of steady hours without all the responsibilities of management!
UPDATE: Well... even in Manufacturing my management experience couldn't be hidden hence the change in positions. Still steadier hours and much less pressure than retail. :)

Musically, I still pick up a sax once in awhile for my own personal enjoyment. :) "Once a kid always a kid" :)
UPDATE: I have begun to practice seriously for the "50th" but really have nowhere to practice... any suggestions?

My kids story actually began on a baseball field. I was at practice for my high school team when a very unlikely person showed up... the school band director Mr Confare with my mother! They were there to speak to me because Mr Confare was contacted and asked if he believed he had a student good enough for a brand new musical group made up the of best youth musicians and singers Wisconsin had to offer. He said he believed he had one. Guess who? They explained the group to me and that they lost the baritone sax player and asked if I would like to audition NOW!? I very thankfully agreed! I went directly from the baseball field to camp (which began a week prior) and was sat down in front of Nick Nichols (Azzolina) and the Colonel, handed a baritone sax which I had never played not to mention an unfamiliar mouthpiece and reed. Then they put "flight of the bumblebee" in front of me to sight read. That was my audition. Gee, no pressure! I began to play and I must have done ok because Nick looked at the Colonel and raised an eyebrow! This was June and the next time i saw my home was just prior to the beginning of the next school year. Hands down the best summer of my life!!!

I enjoyed the "Supremes" medley best because the part wasn't the normal bari sax part. I got to let loose a little bit!
