Humenik, Janet Deines Age 71, of Eagan, born February 10, 1942 in Omaha, Nebraska to Harold and Fannie Deines. Passed away at home with her family on May 29, 2013, following a short yet courageous battle with lung cancer. Preceded in death by her father, mother, and sister, Joan. She is survived by her loving family: husband, Howard; daughters, Barbara and Roxanne; grandsons, Ryan and Matthew; and future son-in-law, Richard. Jan had many friends from all areas of her life including "Forever Friends," neighbors, cherished friends from work, and longtime friends and parents of the softball group. Jan adored life and lived every day to its fullest. Friends, family and former patients would comment on her beautiful smile. She worked as a registered nurse for 42 years and retired in 2004, to spend quality time with her grandsons and travel with her beloved husband, Howie of 50 years. Memorial service held Friday, June 7, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Avenue South, Edina, MN 55435. Visitation held one hour prior to memorial service.
