Wiley was on our gymnastics team and was a very good tumbler and free ex performer. I didnt know him personally, but he impressed me as really good guy. Very talented.

So sorry to hear of Wiley's passing.  We met at Sanford Jr. HS in the 7th grade and became great friends all through Sanford and then Roosevelt H.S.  Wiley, Bobby Lennon and I were sports addicts.  We would draw up our all-star teams in study hall and then compare notes.  On the weekends, I would pick up Wiley and Bobby and we would ride around south Minneapolis to places like Charlie's, Porky's on Lake Street and other drive inns talking sports and our future dreams.  We would each chip in 25 cents for gas and that would cover the whole evening.  Wiley was one of the nicest guys you could know and he was also my protector.  He once told me that if I ever needed help, he would be there for me.  Sadly, we did not keep in contact after high school.  Now looking back, I sure wish we could have spent more time together.  I think about him often and he will be greatly missed.
