Ila Erickson, age 78, passed away on May 5, 2020 after a 12 ½ year battle with health issues. Ila was born on April 8, 1942 in Warren, MN. She was the daughter of Adolph and Mabel Johnson. Ila was united in marriage to Ronald Erickson on February 15, 1964 after the two met while working at Glacier National Park on June 19, 1960. She was an accomplished artist with mediums including oil and water color. She was an entrepreneur who loved to give her art to friends and family. She cherished her many, many friends and was involved with Linwood Covenant Church. Ila will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 56 years, Ronald and children, Lisa (Steve), Andrew (Brenda), and Steven (Steven). She loved her grandchildren, Shannon, Hannah, Karlee and Kenzie, and taught them many things from painting to cross-country skiing. She also loved their dog Korki. She was preceded in death by her parents Adolph and Mabel Johnson and a brother, Evert Johnson. A private memorial was held on May 8, 2020 at Linwood Cemetery with family present. Memorials are preferred to Linwood Covenant Church at 6565 Viking Blvd, Wyoming, MN 55092.
