Richard "Dick" A. Kempe, age 72 of North Branch formerly of Blaine died on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Rush City.

Richard was born in Minneapolis on December 6, 1942 to parents, Thor and Verona (Erickson) Kempe. He attended schools in Minneapolis graduating from Roosevelt High School. In 1965 Richard started his own business called Chanticlear Pizza and he continued to own and operate the business until the 1990’s. He then worked as a floral delivery person for nearly 12 years when he retired in 2008 and moved to his cabin on Fish Lake near North Branch. He married Ann Molacek on September 11, 1965 at Lake Nokomis Lutheran Church. He loved fishing and hunting and just spending time at his cabin and the lake. In his earlier years he played the piano and also played in a small band.

Richard is survived by his sons, Stephen (Lisa) Kempe of Ramsey and Philip (Jody) Kempe of Oak Grove; his two grandchildren, Kierstin and Jonathan. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Ann in 2012.  

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
