Born Oct.18, 1942, died Dec. 8, 2001. Cause of death, heart attack.  Raised in Minneapolis, Min. the fourth of the six children delivered  to John and Lola Roth. Graduated in education from the University of Minnesota in 1964 and Married  U.S. Marine Corps pilot Larry Fraser a month later. Within a year she had a new  house, with a mortgage, a new son, David, and her husband, Larry, was on the way  to Vietnam for a 14 month assignment. Larry left the Marine Corps in late 1967 and Glenna, Larry, David, and the  new baby, Eric moved to the Fraser family dairy in Washington state. A year  later the entire family moved to Thailand where Glenna and Larry were both  employed by Air America for several years and formed many enduring  friendships. The family returned to the States in 1974 and Glenna worked in the county  clerks office to help Larry finish college. From 1979 until now, Glenna has been  employed by the Federal Government. She has been an employee of the US Customs  Service for the past 13 years – in Miami and Washington DC as an inspector and,  for the past six years, in Jacksonville as a Vessel Entry Officer – the person  who collects entry tax on big ships. She was preceded by her son Eric, both her parents, and a younger brother.  She is survived by her husband, Larry, her son, David, her brother, Richard, her  sisters, Kathleen, Linda, and Robbie, and her two granddaughters, Karina and  Lauren. Close friendships have continued from all her assignments, especially  the Marin Corps, Air America, and the Customs Service. This information was provided by Jackie Lande Wick. |
