Hokenstrom, Jane Carolynn (Twito) Age 73, of Ham Lake, passed away October 6, 2016. Born December 30, 1942 in Minneapolis, the daughter of Irving and Leona (Mellum) Twito. She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in 1960 and received her BS in Nursing from St. Olaf College in 1964. Nursing wasn't just a profession for her, but a way of life. She was a caregiver to not only her friends and family, but to so many others who came into her life. She was an active member of her church, St. Philip's, serving many members of the congregation and beyond through her caregiving, and nursing experience. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, volunteer and friend who touched the lives of everyone she met. Preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Donald and Kenneth Twito. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 50 years, Jack; children, Sara (Kevin) O'Brien, Rebecca (Todd) Olson and Todd Hokenstrom; grandchildren, Katie (Bruno), Sean, Ana, Emily, Sam and Jack; great-granddaughter, Regina; and many other family and friends. Funeral service 11:00 AM, Monday, October 10, 2016 with visitation one hour prior at St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 4180 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley. Interment at Hillside Cemetery.
