Although Dick did not graduate with us from Roosevelt, he was a good friend to many of our classmates who attended Keewaydin, Nokomis and Roosevelt through part of our junior year. He lived on 50th and 28th Ave. His obituray was provided by his former wife Karen Ness Putnam.  MJH

Richard Putnam, age 76, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Essentia Health-Oak Crossing, Detroit Lakes, MN.

Richard Lane was born March 25, 1942 in Minneapolis the son of Perry and Bess (Brundage) Putnam. He lived in Minneapolis and Texas where he owned and operated numerous restaurants throughout his life.

He is survived by his daughter Kelly Lockrem, Erhard, MN; son Guy Putnam, Michigan; 2 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Mary Jo (George) Stage, Pelican Rapids, MN and Barb Wennerlof, Fergus Falls, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, many brothers and his sister.

No Funeral Services are planned at this time.
