30-Year Reunion Committee Meeting Notes
Sunday, April 18th, 2010 - 1-3 p.m.

Location Committee Update - Saturday, July 17th, 2010 at the Radisson University – Humphrey Ballroom • Sound System for Vinyl, CD’s, & MP3’s – Christi – Still working on this. Researching references and trying to find one with a turntable. • Slide Show – June & Jimmy – June to contact hotel to see if they can provide a projector and screen (smartboard). Will borrow from work if needed. • Nametags with senior picture need to be printed – June. • Memorial display to be setup – Christi & Jonathon. Kristen will get flowers. Christi will bring a candle. Paul will send Christi & June the names of the deceased classmates so names and pictures can be displayed. • Food Sub-Committee - Appetizer Selection – Christi & Jonathon. Will work on this later. • Hire Photographer – Kristen. Done. • SWAG (gift) Bags – Jonathan & Wayne. Will look into personalized notepads. • Program – June, Alan, & Jimmy will give very brief “welcome” opening remarks.
PROJECTED EXPENSES: Food and venue - $3,100 Postal Mailing $38 (paid) Swag Bag ($3-5 per person - @150=$600) Class of Eighty Website $104 (paid) Search Sites $58 (paid) Picnic expenses, reservation fee - $150 (paid) Extra audio equipment for listening area - $150 Printing Contact list/booklet - $0 – Wayne will put these on CD’s at his cost. Nametags - ? Flowers / Decorations / memorial area - $70 Photographer - $350 Total - $4720 (known) - $350 already paid. POSSIBLE EXPENSES: Smartboard fee for PowerPoint - $50 Fee for school to be open during happy hour time - ? Room for committee (not needed – Wayne has an extra room reserved that we can use for changing) Treasure Update - Paul • Financial Position: $1,759.78 – Beginning Balance as of 3/7/10 -$17.97 – MyLife.com – 3 Month Subscription +40.00 – Reunion Registration Payments =============== $1,781.81 – Remaining Balance 3/27/10 Publicity Committee Update - Paul • 179 classmates contacted electronically • Planning another postal mailing later. 3 new postal addresses found, but click2mail.com minimum is 20. Considering resending to those that haven’t responded. Will use First Class so we get returned mail. • 14 people signed up for reunion (not all paid) • Will send out email updates/reminders (e.g. – Fill out the surveys, send photos, countdown to price increase, etc.) roughly monthly. • Will get reunion announcement into papers closer to event (6-8 weeks before event). StarTribune, Pioneer Press, Southwest Journal, Sun Current, WCCO, etc. • “Do you think you will attend” the Friday Happy Hour & Sunday Picnic” questions was be added to the registration form so we can get estimates. • SWACers Event – Friday, April 30, 6:00 – Bunny’s. Will hand out invitations. Sending out email about this with reunion registration reminder. • Subscribed to another people search site, spokeo.com. Will use to try and find remaining missing people.

Other Events: • Happy Hour – Friday, July 16, 2010 – 5-7 – Chatterbox Linden Hills – School Tours – Jimmy. Paul will send Jimmy the name and email of the SW Principal. Tours to leave Chatterbox at an announced time, possibly 5:30. • Picnic – Sunday, July 18, 2010 – Noon-3 – Beard’s Plaisance – Christi. Waiting to see what is in the budget for buying Next Meeting:
TBD – We will wait until June knows when she will be in the Twin Cities to schedule something in next 3-5 weeks. May 14-16 is bad for Kristen & Jonathon. Alan is out of the country May 10-27.
