"WHAT A NIGHT IS RIGHT!!!!" Saturday night was well worth the trip from Texas. It was great seeing everyone, including the party crashers Charlie and "The Rock". I don't know about everyone else but talking with old friends about old times seemed to make the 40 years disappear. It seemed like only last week we were all together in school. I want to add my thanks to all of the committe members for all of their hard work putting that great event together. It was obviously a monumental task. Best wishes to everyone until we meet again!

The reunion was great fun and thanks to all the hours the committee spent planning to make the whole thing a great success!

It was great to talk with people from those wild, crazy high school days. I caught up with many classmates are doing and we talked about what happening now and also re-lived some of those days back in the day. Jenifer Rolek and I worked our senior year as secretaries on the job program. We had to catch a bus on 27th and Nicollet which wasn't a great neighborhood so we wouldn't stand on the corner cuz we were worried that people thought we were one of the hookers.

Those hayrides... how did we ever get home? What about the senior skip day. Pep fests, football games at parade stadium oh wow such great memories!

Our class has so much talent I talked to so many people that have their own businesses. I knew we were meant for greatness.

I had fun and will try and send the pix that turned out to Doug so he can post them.

Thanks again and stay healthy and enjoy life for it is short.

Opps! I'm totally a computer illiterate!
THANKS THANKS THANKS THANKS THANKS THANKS THANKS!!!!!!!
I don't know who all to thank, or who to praise or who to rejoice in most!!! There is no "most" Everyone was great! From the committee that made everything work smothe as chocolate pudding, to the people who busted butt to fly in from all over the country. My husband (not an alumni but I dated him from our Junior year on) commented that there is something VERY SPECIAL about all the people I went to school with, something different from other classes, or groups of people. I think he is so "right on"! For not having seen some old friends for years it was like picking up where we left off, and others that I only knew from a distance it was awesome to get to know them. The Class of "69 really is special, wonderful, awesome and I really felt each and every person is truly far from ordinary, the talents, the uniqueness seems to have bloomed even after our years at Vo Tech to make each of us so much more than any other group of people. Besides, we are just the best as individuals and as a group...GO VOLTS!!!!!!!

Cyndi: You are so very kind, I do know to thank you> I cannot believe the work you did from afar and even coming to a meeting, wow. The ribbons were so cool and all of the unplanned ones on the table just looked so very good. Also, your memorabalia pages were alot of work and turned out just great. Then you spent 2 days to decorate - Thanks Alot Cyndi!!! Remember to let us know if you'll be in town and have some time. Some of us would love to see you for brunch/lunch or marqueritas?? later gator Shirley*69 PS; I also loved the reunion, and had no idea how great it would be. Jim Nedry mentioned feeling like we'd been back in the halls of ivy together not that long ago, and I so agree. Well worth keeping in touch.

YAHOO!!! When can we do this AGAIN??? I sent some e-mails to some people, and I'm not sure they went through. Gonna try again. Anyway, I can only reinforce the positive comments being posted. Your right, even after all these years, it's as if we never lost touch. And, yes, we ARE a unique class. After all, we had to be accepted just to get in. (I was one of 150 applicants from the city schools just for printing! and there was only room for 25) I have no doubt this reunion ignited something in all of us and the connections will keep on. Looking forward to future impromptu get-togethers, for sure. I haven't come down off the high yet, and tell everyone I talk to about what a great time it was. I doubt that will slow down anytime soon. I could go on... but I'll leave space for others. Until we meet again.....,Tony

Saw the Time Travelers Wife - gosh, I thought it was pretty fair. I hear alot of people thought it was just nothing compared to the book. Oh well, different strokes for different folks right. Of Course, I also wasn't one of the people that totally loved this book and I know for many it was a favorite. Saturday Picnic, Sunday Bike Ride from Harriett Island to Axels for brunch, then a movie, Monday work at home then pontooning - Good Labor Day to all!

That would be a good idea Les - should be coming up over the next year and Richard would know about it. I was going to suggest some classmates come to the Edison 40 yr reunion but I got sick so I'll be off to my room very early, so thought I shouldn't be inviting, BLAH BLAH!! Anyhow, that's the deal on that. P.S. Bonnie and Kate stopped by to see me (and of course then I got busy and couldn't visit with them) Well thanks for picking up the afternoon business there Bonnie - good to see you! OH, and so sad but expected, RIP Patrick. We should all be thinking "dirty dancing". jk

BONNIE; I just put a picture up of the old guys at that reunion - one of them being my honey, Bruce.
