Hooray! Another update. Dennis Shaske connecting from Miwaukee. WI. FYI I received an e-mail from Cindy Axberg, inquiring if I knew Jerry Zelazny. He's my oldest brother, passed away 5 years ago. He was a well-known musician in the area. (Mike Carswell's dad probably knew him) Anyway, come to find, Cindy's brother Fred is a drummer. He's played with many Polka bands over the years and I've known him for a very long time. Never occured to me he might be a relative to someone I knew. May have even done a gig or two together when I was still playing. What a small world! Just thought I'd pass that along for fun. Tony
Just checkin in to say hey to everyone!! It has been a while:) What has everyone been up to lately? I am going on vacation next week, can hardly wait!!
Rochester must be a lot like the Twin Cities Les - Thanks Dolly for the cute singing card - Happy Thanksgiving Dolly, Les, Mary - and Happy Thanksgiving to the Class of 69 - There will be a brunch in January for anyone in the class ready to spend a little social time - I'll announce date & time later as we will all be very involved with the holidays this next month. My tip for the month - Marqueritas may be the perfect answer to the colds and crud going around. You get a salt water rinse, Vit c - & very nice on those sore throats - TRY IT - YOU'LL LIKE IT!!!
Hey Everyone! Seems the sites been lacking, so I thought I'd liven it up a bit. Took two grandkids to (Dayton's) Macy's 8th floor Holiday display, "A day in the life of an Elf" and it's still a worthwhile trip. Kalley 12, and Parker 9 were amazed with the display and then we tried to get lost in the skyway. We went for lunch on the 12th floor to look out over the city. Not the same view as the top of the IDS! I highly recommend the trip, I know the kids will remember. Especially when THEIR mom can remember too! Hope Thanksgiving was great and Best wishes for Christmas. Tony
Mark your calendars for January 24th Brunch - & please respond on the Class Brunch 1/24 tab. Everyone have a great Christmas and hopefully by late January you'll be ready to visit your 69 friends again.
Yes it has been along time since there has been any action on the site! Don't forget to check in once in a while and say hey:) Looking forward to the brunch on the 24th! Happy Holidays everyone Bonnie
I wish I could be there but I am going to be in Scottsdale at the Barrett-Jackson event. I'm sure that all the guys will know what that is. I am going to have a booth at the women"s expo in January at the convention center so if anyone would like tickets let me know. I will check on the dates I think it is the last week of January. Hope you try for a get together in Feb.
Now this is what I call Minnesota weather. Hopefully everyone got home allright from this wonderful weather we are having. I am so excited to see everyone January 24th! I have even booked a overnight at my brothers house for the night before incase there is bad weather. I hate driving in the winter. My brother only lives 10 minutes from the Sunshine Factory. So, who else is coming? I think Shirley said I was the first one to register, so even if it wasn't a contest I was getting a free Smiley face cookie! Everyone take care and have a very Merry Christmas.
Hello: Has anyone else besides me seen Charles James in the 2ndWind commerical? I have already seen him 8 times. Hope everyone is trying to staying warm. It's been a little cold here in Minnesota.
I guess I have been on channel 5 sometimes 7 or 10. I have seen him on many channels. It's pretty funny because Charlie has the same kind of suit as the 2nd Wind guy and they look very much alike.
Just an update - there are an even dozen coming on January 24th - had to mention that since I'm kinda in the dozen business. Hoping for many more but a dozen will be fun too - Thanks for your responses, the no's too - it's good to see you are watching the site. Lots of time yet - no worries. ------- HI DOLLY!!
Hello to you Shirley! So, has anyone one been to the Holidazzle Parade downtown? Well, Helen, Cheryl and I will going this Saturday. We are going to make a day of it. Have a little lunch, shop and look around the town until the parade starts. Anyone else interested? We will start out about 1:30. Let me know if you'd like to meet with us. It is suppose to get up to 20 degrees!!! Wow.
Its been an exciting two months but I am on the mend!! No High BP....No High Chlorestol...barely overweight..and strong as an OX usually!!! Thought I had the swine flu...congestion..Then the big one came...massive cardiac...crawled into ER ..within minutes I was in the lab with the on call crew heading my way...prepared for the STENT ,, Had 100 percent blockage in the LAD. As the Doctors call this location the widow maker cause few survive the blockage in this area. A few moments from death..within minutes I felt better as they opened up the blood flow and of course the morphine helped make it a fun ride! "the good news MR Caple... we got you through it ....damage is done cause I waited thinking it was flu.. bad news...you need to get another one that is almost blocked total in the 1st Diagonal...soon!" After 2 weeks went back in for stent # 2... It was like heading for the M.A.S.H. unit as I was again prepared for the procedure! Our little town has put me on the map as a" WALKING MIRACLE" Thanks to our new DUKE HEART CENTER I am feeling so much much better! Dear High School friends, Hope you are all well. Please take the time to get the basic pictures taken of the heart and vessels that are waiting to end your life...the cost of a few hundred dollars will save you much grief.. I will write again later. SO now you know what I have been up too! My baby girl now heading to Med School..either Mayo or U of Minnesota. She is a cancer survior with looks and brains that hopes to help children in Onocology She is another walking MIRACLE! Aren't WE ALL!! Love Doug and Liz Caple PS>> I am thinking about adding my YOUTUBE STENT VIDEO if anyone is interested in seeing the old man on the table...IT was not a pretty site. Had a severe hematoma that would have cost me my right leg...but the attendant spent nearly an hour working the site to keep the golf ball clot from ending my POLE VAULTING in the future. KEEP SMILING the Kingdom is ahead the pain and sorrow will soon pass. Rev 21:1-4

Hey Doug, To say Happy New Year would be an understatement. Thank God we have the medical resources that we have. I often think about the Health Care issues of the country, but when you hear about miracles like yours, it makes you think from a different perspective. Having gone through a hernia surgey, (Dec.23!) I was in and out in four hours. The last time 30 years ago, I was there for four days and out for 6 weeks. I.m back to work 100% and doing good. Take care and keep in touch. God Bless!
Looking forward to seeing everyone on the 24th! Tony
