Family Practice Residency program 1979- 1982 Lived and practiced in Hayward since '82. Did ER, family practice clinic and worked for the VA at a community based outpatient clinic in Hayward and Rice Lake until i retired in 2014. I have been active in 4H, archery club, Sawyer County fair, conservation congress(Wisconsin DNR), and hobbies include woodworking, having made much of our house furnishings, cabinetry, 4 cedar strip canoes and 3 marine plywood sea kayaks, and a few things for neighbors. Fishing, hunting, trapping are my activities when Sue and I are not traveling dependent upon the season.

Mr. Fridgen's PSSC Physics class: He asked the class what letter to use for a variable in an equation he had written on the board that he would solve or reduce. I told him to use 'q'. I knew the answer was going to be 4xq. When Mr Fridgen said "4q", I said" same to you"..... He looked at me and said "No one likes a smart ass Swenson." I got a kick out of that. It was hard for me to not be one.... Steve Permuth's signing my yearbook with "To he who can leap logs but trip over popsickle sticks" -a line I would never forget while taking any test in college.
