John M Bell

After barely graduating from De La Salle, I attended the U of M for two years, then worked as a Recreation Supervisor running Neighborhood parks and Community Centers for MPRB for 30 years.

I went back to school at 47 years old and finished my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.
I retired February 14th, 2003, at 51 years of age.
I then spent 10 years as a licensed Residential Real Estate Appraiser.
When the bottom fell out on the housing market, I got my Short Term Substitute Teacher license and began teaching part time at Aitkin High School.

I focused my teaching in the Special Education program, working with students on the spectrum and with special needs.
After Covid struck, I took a sabbatical and have not gone back to teach. Although I get calls weekly to come back to work.

I started building a two bedroom house North of Lake Mille Lacs in Fall of 2020 and moved in Spring 2021.

I have 48 acres and my good friend Wes has close to 200 acres attached, which my son and I hunt on. Whitetail deer, grouse, and squirrel.
I keep busy putting up wood for my fireplace and fishing.
My Mother is still living in the house that they bought before I was born. Dad passed away 26 years ago. I visit her when I come into town.

I come into the cities for Doctor/Dentist appointments and to watch my granddaughter (Vienna, a Sophomore with a 4.00 GPA and first in her class of 400+) play basketball and softball on the JV and Varsity teams.
Good thing that the car I have get's good mileage.

I've got too many to tell. Some not so good.
But having Sister Nazaire break my pencils and smack me around is at the top of the list.
