Freshman year college at U of M in Missoula but graduated a Bobcat from Montana State in 1953 with degree in Ag and 2nd Lt. commission. Took Airborne training in Fort Benning with Lee Woodward, then went on to Ranger school. Assigned to 2nd Armored Division in Germany for a total of 3 years military service. ('53 to '57) Ranching in the Bitterroot valley, ever since including currently.and involved in local county issues. First wife, and mother of my children, Judy Larkin, died in 1974.
School Story:
All my good highschool buddies are wealthy and retired, (Stoick, Simon, Tucker, Small, Hansen, Lambros, Woodward, etc) and here I am still chasing some livestock around on a daily basis. Always look forward to our class reunions and working on the reunion committees. Couple of favorite memories are going to 1948
Boys State, and being a member of the 1949 State Champion track team.
