Jeffrey Allan Thissen, "Jeff", age 63, of Akron, passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of June 5, 2022.  He was born in Akron on July 5, 1958, the son of Donnie Thissen of Akron and the late Betty (nee Aker) Thissen.

Jeff was a loving and caring son, husband and father. Jeff cherished spending time with his family and friends. He loved a good game of baseball, taking trips to the beach and driving a truck for Coca Cola for 35 years. Jeff found it a privilege to tell others about the good news of God's Kingdom, as he was a devoted member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Debra (nee Parks), whom he married on June 16, 1979; his children, Michael, Sarah, Rebekah and Caitlin; his step mother, Jackie Thissen; his siblings, John and James Thissen, Debi (Charlie) Redman, Ken (Melanie) Ingram, Jim Ingram, Jerry Ingram and Karen (Dwight) Ickes and many nieces and nephews.
