Christopher Wheeler Wheeler

I joined the IL Army National Guard in ‘98 and left for basic/AIT in ‘99 after graduation. Moved to MN in Jan 2000 and have since lived in the QCs, Arizona, and Northwest Indiana before finding my way back to MN in 2007.

Married in 2006 with deployments to Iraq in 2006 and 2009/2010. Our son was born in 2011 while I was finishing my undergrad in Intercultural Studies (emphasis in Middle Eastern Studies) and studying abroad in Turkey. I finished my undergrad and also earned a certificate in law enforcement to add to my AAS in Electronics Technology.

I worked in various law enforcement, IT, and cyber security roles from 2012 to 2015 and then hired on with the DEA in 2015.

Our daughter was born in 2016 and I retired from the NG in 2018 after 20 years and a few days.

In 2019, we moved to Bahrain for a diplomatic attaché assignment. After a very successful tour with the US Embassy Bahrain, US NAVCENT, US CENTCOM, Combined Maritime Forces, Combined Task Force 150, and the Regional Narcotics Interagency Fusion Cell, we moved to Istanbul, Turkey in 2022 for my next assignment. We move back to the Twin Cities in 2025 as I begin a supervisory position
