I've been residing in sunny California for 10 years now after moving to Houston in 1967. And once one gets here, it is like a venus fly trap and you are caught. It is a beautiful place but surely not Texas. Both children live here now and the younger one has a little boy, Matias, who will be two in October. After high school graduation I had several different occupations but entered the accounting field in 1971 and have been there ever since.
November, 2011--I now have a second grandchild, Lilia, who is the apple of her big brother's eye. Still working, same company with a new name. Would like to hear from others--took a whirlwind trip recently to Monahans and it was good to see the town busy with oil related prosperity.

Maybe a couple--as a Junior, with my trouble-maker cousin nearby in Jr. High, we delighted in playing the Bonanza theme all during lunch at the Lobo. Poor Ralph Gardner would beg the lady who owned the place to make us stop but she'd say "now hon, they can play any song they want". And I guess the other one was Mr. Collins, Spanish II teacher, finally losing it the last week of school and kicking a hole in his desk. But at least we learned something, not like the dismal performance of so many schools now.
