Pat came to MHS when Pyote incorporated with our school district. There she was, short, cute and bubbly. We had PE class together and enjoyed playing basketball, playing only half-court of course because that was the rule for 'girls.'
After graduation, I would return to Monahans about every 2-5 years, and I always wanted to see Pat. I would run in to her at the grocery store or downtown, still short, cute and bubbly.
I cried when I heard she had passed away. She was always the steady classmate, the one I thought would always be there. Rest in Peace, Pat - we miss you!
