Comments:

I am now serving my Second mission for 18 months for the Lord in the Family and Church History Headquarters Mission in Salt Lake City, and have been working in the CHURCH HISTORY DEPARTMENT in the Collections Zone, and love the amazing work that is going on here. (2014-2016). It has been wonderful to go down to Provo several times the past few months, and watch my grandson DEVIN FLAKE, sing with the nine-man musical performance group, VOCAL POINT. I have other grandchildren in this area also, and can see them often. It is so special to be here on Temple Square serving the Lord, as His spirit is everywhere present, and His blessings to me are so special. I have been home from my MONTANA BILLINGS MISSION since 2008, and have served for six years as an Ordinance Worker in the Snowflake Arizona Temple, before being prompted by the Lord to go serve a Second Mission. And Here I Am!!

School Story:

GRADE SCHOOL
SNOWFLAKE HIGH SCHOOL
COLLEGE (Completed 3 years at ASU & BYU)

I love having my picture with my grandson, Devin Flake, who is in the nine-member men's VOCAL POINT from BYU. Also,, his sister, Alyssa Flake, is in the nine-member women's NOTEWORTHY singing group from BYU! Love them both so much. I am now actually serving my second mission in the Family and Church History Headquarters Mission here in Salt Lake City. I love it as I am working in the amazing Church History Department for 18 months. I will always love serving the Lord as a missionary and sharing His gospel with others. Sister Ruth Flake (#35 grandchild born yesterday!)

I went with my daughter, Vicki, this summer in June, back to her missionfield in Costa Rica. She had been home a year and wanted to again see the humble people she loved so much, and asked me to go with her. She took me on this side trip (see photo) of whitewater rafting down the Pacuari River which was so beautiful, but we got in some level 4 rapids that were quite challenging! I was grateful for the power of prayer!

My dau. Vicki, on the ziplines in Costa Rica 200 ft. above the ground.

My daughter talked me into trying the ziplines too. So this photo is proof that I did it! And it was beautiful so high above the treetops. I got a glimpse of what a bird sees as it flies so high above the trees.

Here I am in Rome last Spring at the Colosseum. I went to Italy with my brothers/sisters to visit my brother, Jim Toronto, who is Pres. of the Italy Catania Mission. I have been so blessed to travel.

I am the 11-year old Scout leader in our ward,(and my son, Ron helps me with the knots and compass work), but I enjoy going on our 5-mile hikes, cooking, swimming, first aid, and service projects. We won this blue ribbon at our big Camporee. I have had ten boys these past two years and enjoy working with them in our troop. This is a great calling.

In December '09, I flew down to El Salvador with my daughter, Vicki, to the wedding of her favorite missionary companion, Hermana Serrano, when she was married in the temple. Hers was the 39th sealing on the day we were there. There are faithful saints down there.

This is the happy couple: Hermana Serrano & Miguel (who is also a returned missionary as he served in Paraguay); a strong couple who will help the church grow. They were actually married in the Guatemala Temple (we rode 5 hours on a bus up there and back that day), because El Salvador's temple is under construction.

El Salvador is a beautiful country, and even poinsettias grow wild everywhere there.
