I will never forget how Scarry had the gift of controlling the midfield in any of his football games.
He was THE general.
Rest In Peace Barrington "Scarry" Ferguson.

Sad to see he has left us, his mid-field work was magical and remained so even when we connected again in Chicago back in the 80's - RIP my Brother.

From Aubrey "Lacey" Campbell:

Remembering The General, Hard to imagine that the last time i would share the same physical space with this larger than life mate, would have been Wednesday, October 18, in Atlanta. Much harder for me to imagine and understand why i had the presence of mind then and there, to take the mic to recognize the midfield maestro in our midst there and then, surrounded by school, class and teammates, as always. In the decade of the 70s, he made people around him, better. He gave us reason to love our school. Reasons coloured in Red & Gold, indelible and for a lifetime! There he was, surrounded by the other generals...Simms, Ridgeway., his presence filling the room during the 'Meet n Greet', the same way it did the many playing fields and stadia, back then. For me, that was another WOW moment! RIP. General Barrington 'Scarry" Ferguson, Sr.

Whereas Scarry was widely known as a baller, I had the pleasure of playing cricket with him for Taylor’s 1X In MoBay. Scarry was a wicket keeper and front line batsman and we enjoyed many escapades playing cricket in deep rural St James, Trelawny and Westmoreland. Rest In Peace Scarry.
