I live and work in New York City. I am the Senior Content Writer in the New York City office of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. Akin Gump is a leading international law firm with more than 900 lawyers in offices throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
I previously served as media relations director at my alma mater, Barnard College of Columbia University in New York City. I have a broadcasting and journalism background. I worked as a television reporter/anchor at ABC station WSIL-TV and as a news producer for CBS "48 Hours," ABC "20/20" and ABC "PrimeTime Live."
In 2002, I was nominated for a National News Emmy Award for a "48 Hours" story on 9/11 families. I was also part of a team of TV news producers that won the Edward R. Murrow journalism award and Cinema in Industry Award.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, I grew up in Aberdeen, Montesano and Seattle, Wash. I have a bachelor's degree in economics from Barnard College, Columbia University and a law degree from Brooklyn Law School, both in New York City. I am a member of the American Bar Association.
I am married to corporate lawyer Jason Amster and we have a cat, Timmy Tengo Min Amster, born 2013.
