Oliver, WALK ON. Our getting together this weekend was a great joy. I enjoyed the whole weekend as if we were back in school again at the dances after the football games. I really hope that we can continue to plan something in the future. I'M GAINED

To: All Classmates From: Me, The Walking Man Words are inadequate in expressing my sincere appreciation for the great deeds everyone contributed to make our 30th Class Reunion a success. The services you rendered, by lending a helping hand, will always be remembered. Your presence, participation, and overall performance and support, will go down in history as one of the grestest reunion any class at Douglass has ever had. I will cherish this weekend for the rest of my life. Mmmmmmm, I didn't know I could be so serious. So much for that, Rachel, Elaine, and Joyce, you deserve a standing ovation as well as an applaud for a job well-done. So, Whom-So-Never, (as the old folks would say) is reading this, should stand-up and clap. Three hops this time. To everyone else, whether you were directly or indirectly involved this weekend, thanks be unto you, also. Rachel had mantioned, (not mentioned), she mantioned that the guys in our class should do a fund-raising activity, but after carefully scrutinizing and sorting out all loopholes, I, the walking man, decided that all the ladies that were in attendance this weekend, should put together, A Beauty Pageant to raise some money. In school, I was more or less in "BOOKS" and not "GIRLS," But now, I like the girl with the weave in the front, yeah, I like the girl who can roll a fat blunt. Laying all jokes aside, all the girls in our class are beautiful, attractive, and gorgeous. You all possess great leadership abilities, a good personality, and what more could I ask. Be sure to include my wife, Iris, because I didn't realize she was so pretty until I was sitting beside her at church on Sunday. I know everybody can't win, but everyone will at least come in first or second place. Love, Oliver Turner, Sr.

Oliver, you will forever be ONE OF A KIND. You almost had me in tears, then I got to the middle of your message. Thanks for your comments. I feel as you do, I think our reunion was one of the best gathering that has ever happened. I am already looking foward to the next time. Oliver, you keep being you, I couldn't stand it if you ever changed!
Love ya,
Shirley

TO: All Classmates I want everyone to know that Gail, Rachel, and myself went to Macon to visit Van Felton's mother, who had undergone surgery to remove a tumor off her brain. Well, the surgery was one and one-half hour long; but, it was a success and she is doing well and hope to be home in a few days. Also, Rachel want everyone to know that she forgot to collect the money for Vinell Burnam's funeral until everyone had almost gone home on Sunday afternoon. So. to those of you who hadn't paid (and myself included), may do so by October 6, 2008, which is Christmas Day in Korea. Also, don't forget to make all checks and money orders payable to the Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel or Meadows Funeral Home, and all this correspondence may be mailed to Rachel's address. Again, three hops this time. Not eye, but I got to go walking, and as soon as I get some information that might be of importance, beneficial, or even necessary, TRUST ME, I will forward it on to you. So until we meet again, may GOD be with you.

I HAD A GREAT TIME TOO! It was an absolute pleasure seeing everyone. My prayer is that we continue the fellowhip and do our best to encourage others to join us. In a lot of instances, the lack of participation is because we feel we're not where we would like to be in life so we isolate ourselves. But, if the truth be told, none of us are where we would like to be or dreamed to be. We're all still striving for excellence. None of us are in a position where can afford to look down on anyone. Again, let us begin or continue to encourage each other.

I love you all and thanks for a great weekend.

I'm happy to inform everyone that the article concerning our Class Reunion is in the "CITIZEN AND GEORGIAN" newspaper this week. You all took a beautiful picture. As the old folks would say, "What a nice bunch." You all look good enough to EAT. TO: Emmett Lewis, Sandra Brock, Sandra McDonald, Sandra McKenzie, Koweta Solomon, Katherine Darity, and Leroy Taylor, I know you are busy, but I was delighted to hear from you all when you did your profile. TO: Camille Howard, Karen Larry, and Beverly McDonald, I never told you this, but I always enjoy receiving your emails. I may not answer you back, but believe me, I get them and enjoy them. Camille, I needed the one about the job fair. I quit working on my resume, just to type you all a line or two. TO: Rachel Melvin, when I saw you and your sister, Gail, downtown the other day, I enjoyed laughing and talking for about an hour and a half. I laughed to myself all while I was walking home. I hope the oncoming traffic didn't think that I was CRAZY. They just don't know, I'm crazy in a good way. TO: Shirley Butler, James Sparks, Gail Neal, Elaine Hill, Joyce Griffin, Cynthia Lewis, and Warren Brown. remember two hops this time. TO: Oliver, first of all, when referring to the females in our class, you should address them by their married name, and not by their maiden name. Furthermore, you see what time it is, remember you got to go to bed so you can get up and walk again. And if I looked over anybody, I will catch you on the rebound. Until I logged on again, MAY GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU IN A UNIQUE MANNER. LOVE OLIVER

Oliver, I must say you missed your calling. You should have been a comedian. You could give Steve Harvey a run for his money. I'm sure I'm not the only that thinks like this, but if you should out live the rest of us, we are curious as to what you would say at our funeral.

Again, thanks for the laughter and it was good seeing all of you again.

Peace be with you all.

To all fellow classmates your presence is requested to attend an urgent planning meeting at the home of Camille Howard in Perry, Ga on July 11th at 1:00 p.m. This meeting is very important in order to have adequate funds, accommodations, and a strong communication among all the class of '78.
