It is hard to imagine that it has been 10 years. It seems like it was just yeaterday. WOW, how time flies by.
As far as what I have been up to...I have been quite busy. Well, after high school I continued to work for the Montgomery County Board of Education as the assistant to the Officer of Operations and the Cheif of Security for a couple of more months until my boss' wife offered me a job as a teller at Colonial Bank with an increase in pay and benefits (funny, huh, keep it in the family). I also taught ballroom dancing at Fred Astaire Dance Studio at the same time. I ended up leaving Colonial Bank for another job at Department of Industrial Relations Credit Union for better pay and benefits while maintaining the instructor position at Fred Astaire ( but didn't stay as long as I would have liked because it was on commission and not many men took lessons...imagine that, men not wanting to ballroom dance, who would have thought...heehee). I then went to work for a temp agency after leaving DIRCU (because of corrupt people without morals) and went to work for a temp agency where I worked for various companies (as the office Manager in the service dept for Avis with an awesome boss he liked to be called "G" and was in love with JLo and brought me Waffle House about ever other day....yummy, as an Auditor in the audit department for Union Planters Mortgage, and as the service dept. admin. assistant at Coke). I, then, was offered a job as a medical records technician for ITEC. I worked there until I finially got a job working for the state (it takes a LOOOOOONG time to get on with the state). I worked there in the Personnel as a receptionist and then payroll clerk. I then left there and began working as a 24/7, 365 teacher, motivator, diaper changer, cook, maid, nurse, doctor, disciplinarian, entertainer, jungle gym and much, much more for Logan and now Wyatt as well (the BEST job ever).
I met my hubby through a mutual friend from my Sunday School class at Frazer at 301 a ballroom dance "club" at Dexter Avenue UNC where he actually turned me down...I like to give him a hard time about that but in his defence he did have drill that weekend and also had turned down our mutual friend's invite to church on Sunday but did attend the following Sunday. My husband and I got married twice, his mom ended up having to overseas after we had our church wedding scheduled and paid for and went to the courthouse so she could see her "baby boy get married, and will have been married for 5 years this July.
He is in the Air National Guard as a 2nd Lt. as the 117th Logistics Officer and full time for the federal government as the Environmental Manager. He has been a Godsend.I have had A LOT of medical problems and he has stuck it out with me through all the heartache and turmoil that has shadowed me. I can't tell you how blessed I feel, especially when most would have, more than likely, packed up and left.
Anyway, that is my long, drawn out, supposedly short/long summary of my life after BTW. I looked forward to seeing you all.
