After graduation I went to Birmingham-Southern college for a year, where I realized that really wasn't where I wanted or needed to be. As a result, I decided I would try and 'find' myself...and found myself, for a short stint, in Orlando, back in Montgomery, then finally in Chicago where I worked for a law firm as the Director of Scheduling.
While at the law firm I started taking cooking classes at Le Cordon Bleu. I resigned from the firm (as I was completely miserable) and started working as the Culinary Coordinator for Williams-Sonoma in Chicago. Christmas of '05, I had a major accident while at work (involving a knife and my thumb...no its fine now) and later transferred to a store in Atlanta, where I went part time and started working for another company as well (without knives).
I hated Atlanta, so I moved back to Montgomery and opened Fleur de Lis Catering. I, also, while that was getting off the ground, started working in real estate. Catering started to take off, so I quit the volitile business of real estate.
