After Cegep I travelled extensively, then decided family and friends were a very good reason to return to Quebec. Settled into a hobby farm kind of life on the Chateauguay River where self sufficiency was the goal: huge gardens, animals, poultry, ponies, horses, lots of fields of daisies to run through and trees to climb.
We planned for four kids, had the surprise of twins at the last, making it five! What a job!
Each of my children have gone in different directions, though they all live in driving distance, if not closer.
They are: Daniel, musician, Tabitha, studied archaeology and explored the north doing her digs, and now has gone into teaching, Benj does trucking out of Ottawa, one of the twins, Megan, owned a yoga retreat in Costa Rica for a few years and now farms and produces organic boxes out of the family hobby farm, and Nathan is a carpenter.
Right now, I am on a leave from my special ed and social work tech. job where I worked with struggling teens, and am heading our union.
I am, amicably divorced (we do share five kids...) and live in a wonderful little house, in the woods, that sits on a babbling brook. I remain not far from the culture and multicultural diversities of Montreal which I love to indulge in...and continue travelling and exploring as I can.
