School Story:
Seems like only yesterday.....well, not just like yesterday!! Starfish hanging in Lockers, gross things in the flour and sugar in home ec class. Oh, and the straight pins in Mrs. Shorts' bun.
I was only here for part of the year in 8th grade. But I do remember all of the sock hops we had on those rainy or snowy days when we couldn't go outside. Dancing to Barry Manlow's "Mandy". And "Do the Locomotion" around the classroom. Jay Lynn pulling down Kenny Ayers jeans while he was dancing with Teri Ann. I remember staying the night with Judy one night, and our great adventure was deciding to sneak across town to Rich and Randys' house because one of us liked them, only to realize when we got there they were asleep.
Mary, remember one night in July close to Jubilee after work, I was cruising around with Steve (imagine that) and you were driving around with the guy who cooked there, (can't remember his name) but you guys started following us around. Steve miraculously had some bottle rockets in his pickup, so I started lighting them and tossing them out the window at you guys........until he tried to turn around on I-90 where there was no place to turn around. I smacked my head on his windshield and broke it and cut my head open.?
Shannon, I do remember spending alot of time with you at your house and at Clints, coming home from a Midwest football game in almost total fog with Jon driving and Steve & I with him. Going to the Big Horn/Tongue River B-Ball games and staying the night in Sheridan with Cindy, Judy & Renita with a trunk full of ....what? Alcohol..I'm sure that can't be right!! Or going to State Wrestling in Rock Springs and taking the red place mat from the dining room table and Kathy Cox and I placing it ever so carefully around the light bulb in our room and hanging Judys bra outside by it. Or at the Hub after work and Babe supplying any alcohol need we may have while riding Bobbi Jo's tricycle around the restaurant. Or Jon rousing all the spirit in the crowd at basketball games in the Wolf costume. What a good time we all had in school. I would just like to take a minute to let each and everyone of you know how glad I am to have gotten to spend my high school days with you. You each have a special place in my heart and in my memories. I'm sure there are so many more stories and I look forward to seeing you.
I know some of you knew that our oldest daughter and her husband have been trying to have a baby. The only way they could was to have and invitro process done. Which is quite spendy and time consuming. But, God was faithful to us and we will be getting another grandchild in June. We are all very excited.
