Sorry I didn't make the reunion. Randy asked me at our daughter's (Valerie) wedding in May if I was planning on attending. Ooopppps, no. Weddings in May do nothing for the memory of anything in June, July, ......

Lately I have been extremely busy with the family business, TruTech Tools, an internet business designed to sell high-end instrumentation to HVAC service techs and contractors. Because of all the weatherization programs starting up and Obama's stimulus money flowing freely, we have grown from just 3 family members to employing 7. I can say employing since now we are all actually drawing paychecks. Before it was work your little buns off 24/7 so you can reinvest, grow the business and pay Uncle Sam. We're still paying Uncle Sam, but at least we get a keep a little for ourselves.

Jim and I bought a house on a lake 3 summers ago and it has taken us that long to finally get a boat. It's not Wyoming, but I can a least look out my windows, not hear the loud noise of traffic and not see a house staring me back. I get the feeling of being closed in with all the trees around us and not being able to see anything but trees and more trees. The property adjacent to us includes 35 acres with cows. So in the morning I can enjoy a cup of coffee on our deck overlooking the lake and hear the cows mooing off in the distance. It's as close as I'm going to come to satisfying my desire for Wyoming without actually being there. Maybe someday....

Jim and I will be celebrating 17 years of marriage this July. How time flies by ... I still remember the first day we met at the University of Akron and how he walked me to my car. Poor guy had no idea what he was getting into.... This August we will be attending his class reunion .... his 20th .... from Revere High School. Remember Jeffrey Dahmer? Well, he is also a graduate of Revere High School. No, Jim never knew him, do your math, the poor kid was only in 2nd grade when we were seniors in high school, how could've he known Jeffrey?...You're not calling me a cradle robber are you? That's ok if you are, because he looks older than I do!

I remember one afternoon, after bowling, going for a ride with Mark Sisson and Ron O'Dell, I think it was in Mark's car but Ron was driving. We were out on the interstate crusing when a highway patrolman pulled us over. I'm about to have a cow as I'm sure Mark had things in his car that could've landed all of us in the slammer and I'm not sure Ron had a valid drivers license, as he had just come back from Sweden or wherever it was he went for a year. If my memory is correct, it just happened to be a patrolman that frequented the Hub Cafe where I was a waitress. I think he overlooked the obvious and let us go. I don't know about Mark or Ron, but I was sweating more than bullets. I'd never been trouble before, especially trouble with the cops ... unlike the rest of my siblings ... or should I say a particular brother named Art.

I also remember laying in the middle of the football field on a clear summer night, starring at the thousands of stars, thinking where in the world my life was leading me ... if I only knew!

Playing kick-the-can (more Jr. High than High School) with the neighborhood ... for Moorcroft, neighborhood was pretty much the whole town.

Those long trips to games and not getting home till late at night, then having to walk home half asleep. Of course, I didn't have far to walk, thank goodness!

Sitting the bench my senior year of basketball after being a starter for so many years and having Willis ask me why I just didn't quit. That year was the only year I ever receive any kind of award ... can't even remember what it was, but I did get one. There might be a message in that lesson some where. Our coach was pregnant with twins.
