Wow 30 years! I remember when I couldn’t fathom being 30, much less having a 30 year class reunion! After College, I migrated to Colorado, where I met my future husband (on a ranch high in the Rockies). He was from Mid-Missouri; so we moved there, married, bought a house, had a baby and divorced! He is back in Colorado and I’m still in Mid-MO. I live in Jefferson City with my son, 2 cats, a dog and a lizard. I have worked at the fiscal agent for Missouri Medicaid for almost 20 years (we process Medicaid claims and provide other support). Like many of you, I spend most of my free time at various school functions, practices and school and church-related committee meetings. My son will be a Senior next year and then off to College – I’m not dealing with the transition very well!

I am enjoying everyone’s stories. Outside of school, I seemed to spend all summer at the swimming pool when I was little and working at it when I was older (until I wanted to make some real money, so went to the Hub!) I also remember driving a lot – either on a bus to school events – remember eating lemons and chewing ice – wonder any of us have any teeth left! And then driving around town and to Gillette and to the Lake a million times (one time with Christine Hays, all night, listening to the a.m. station from Oklahoma City playing “You Light Up My Life” at least a gazillion times.) How about the snowball fights in our cars and getting stuck in the drifts and everyone having to jump out and push (not enough snow in Missouri for that, thankfully). And in school, the teachers! All of the poor history teachers and subs that we terrorized. Getting yelled at by Mr. C and having political fights in Mrs. C’s class (bet our politics hasn’t changed a lot!). Making Leon blush in Mrs. Haglund’s class. I think maybe Larry and Mark and others were in there too? But they didn’t blush as easily! And Biology when all the boys bet each other on what pickled body part they would eat. I never took another science class that I didn’t have to after that. Or how about chewing grape bubblegum in Mrs. Short’s class just to see how long she would notice (about 5 seconds flat, as I remember). Wonder why she never said anything about all the straight pins in her hair. Well, as you may have noticed, I can still find lots of things to say… see you all in Moorcroft!
