Very rarely. Seems most left Morgan City, never to return. Thank goodness for FaceBook!
Started college in Finance and was miserable, although passing everything. Joined the Navy in 1988 and became a Hospital Corpsman, then went to Field Medical Service School for combat training with the Marine Corps. When I came home to the Reserve unit I decided to go to Nursing School. By 1999 I was back at Nicholls teaching after obtaining my Master of Science in Nursing degree. Finishing my Doctorate in Nursing Science at LSUHSC currently.
Asst Prof of Nursing; Coordinator of Recruitment, Retention, Admissions and Progression; Assistant Department Head; and Faculty Senate President @ NSU
A lucky phone call that I answered one day while working in the ICU asked if I was interested in teaching in a Nursing program. It is the best phone call I have ever received to date!
Work in a bank, get married and raise a family! LOL, right! Somehow life had other plans for me.
Kroger while in High School, Domino's Pizza (darn good tips!), and Lakewood Hospital as an ER Tech before becoming a registered nurse.
I've done so much! But, I would love to adopt.
The Navy; Nursing; Meeting my partner of 18 years; the birth of my niece Rachel; Getting my job at Nicholls; Going on 14 cruises (so far); winning an arbitration case against General Motors for the LEMON hardtop convertible I bought (and they wonder why the US auto industry is in trouble); and being adopted by a young kid I met, while directing a play, as his role model, confidant, and safe-place....never underestimate the reward of mentorship!
Partnered for 18 years
LOL! Not that old yet!
Bark, Meow, and puke up hair balls.
Wow, if I could find some, I'd say I like to Cruise the seas and go to beaches.
Heart, but definitely NOT patience
Coming out....sometimes you just have to own up to who you are and jump back in to life!
My apartment in teh French Quarter...so many good memories made there.
Europe
Not old at all....Just a number, not a state of mind!
Yes
I'm a pretty open book.
Band trips, band camps, friends made, sitting in the "band hall," marching in parades and the bus trips that got us there, marching festivals, playing the half-time show at the Saints-Falcons game in my Sophomore year.
One of my favorites is the time we got stuck in Bunky, LA and Lisa Williams taught me the song "Bubbling Brown Sugar, Sweet Little Harlem Treat!"
Oh, yeah! And there was that time the boys were playing football with a glass bottle, and it broke, and someone was so intoxicated that turned green and began vomiting when they saw their blood!!! Good times, good times! LOL!!
Everything Else!
Be myself earlier in life!!
Hmmmm....hate to admit to this, but it was kind of mean putting Tabasco Sauce on Missy's oboe reeds. Oh, and I still haven't figured out who left that porn in my Baritone Saxophone case! They weren't in band, but I really miss Kevin Plessala and Man Frost sometimes. Man and I actually graduated from Nursing school together.
Famous people are boring! I'd rather meet a bum or homeless person in the Quarter and hear their story.
Too many!
I'll get back to you on this. I profess everyday, but nothing comes to me now...
