RESERVE QUARTERBACK Charlie Russell has left the team. (6-10-08) The 6-foot-3, 225-pound redshirt freshman was an All-State player at Morgantown High and helped the Mohigans win 38 of 41 games and a pair of Class AAA state titles. He passed for better than 2,800 yards and 35 touchdowns in two seasons as a starter. NOTE: He left the team to concentrate on Med School.

2FB Players Dismissed (6-5-08) - West Virginia University Head Football Coach Bill Stewart has announced that senior defensive back Charles Pugh & TE Evan Rodriguez have been dismissed from the Mountaineer football program for a violation of team rules.

Pugh is expected to turn himself to face a felony charge of felony fraudulent schemes. Charles Pugh and an unidentified woman are accused of stealing a credit card and charging more than a $1600 dollars.

Evan Rodriguez  -  "accused of grabbing a WVU night staff employee at Dadisman Hall, pushing her into a wall and twisting her arm in front of witnesses on March 18, according to a criminal complaint".

Five-star Basketball forward Ebanks picks West Virginia

The long road of recruiting has come to an end for five-star prospect Devin Ebanks. The 6-foot-8 forward is headed to West Virginia for the 2008-2009 recruiting class.
