Although I moved away to Orlando after my sophomore year in 1980 and graduated from a different high school, I have always considered Morrow my home, and Morrow Senior High my school; even if they did change the name!

I retired from the fire department after giving them 28 years and both of my knees. I now teach Graduate School in the Public Administration program in the School of Business for the University of Phoenix.

I became a grandaddy for the first time in August 2011 and again in November of 2014! I make frequent trips to Orlando to see sister, nephew, nieces, and my daughter and grandsons.

In 2012, my brother and I started a blog called Georgia Boys Barbeque Review; in which we review and rate barbeque restaurants. During my trips back home we add at least one restaurant to the list. You can check out the blog at http://georgiaboysbarbeque.blogspot.com/

I have finished my first book and it is now in print. Check out the announcements area for more info. Work continues on three other books I am writing. One is a second volume about my experiences in the fire department, another is a collection of sayings and witticisms I have heard over the years, and another is about haunted fire houses.

In November of 2014 I returned to my beloved home state of Georgia! I now live about two hours south of Morrow in Cordele.
