John Bailey

I joined the NC Air National Guard and went to Basic Training the summer after graduation. I came home and went to Gaston College/UNCC and got a civil engineering degree. I went to pilot training with the Guard in 1994. The miltary was great to me. I traveled to Europe, Asia, South America and parts of Africa.

When I got home I worked for several large builders in Charlotte, and decided I could do that for myself. In 2004 I went to work with Scott Clark, Jr (Class of 89) in the Toyota business, and moved to Augusta, GA. Then moved to St Louis where I ran a Toyota/Cadillac dealership. However, I hated the hours and I missed my family in NC, so in June of this year I moved to Lake Norman. I own a general contracting company and I can't believe how well things have gone.

Life has had a few bumps, but I have tried to absorb them, and move on. I am doing my best to eliminate all the drama in my life. I work a lot right now, but I am trying to manage that so I can do the things I want to do...Take the pontoon out, go flying, play a little golf, go fly fishing, or traveling.

I really look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.
